“Both Matthew and I have met several families who lost loved ones in the Station fire, we also have many fans that are survivors,” said Gunnar Nelson. “We honor their memory, and celebrate this modest effort with hopes that the Worcester and surrounding communities react with a huge response. Music heals, and this is our way of helping.”
Matthew and Gunnar, twin sons of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and one of history’s biggest selling musical artists, Ricky Nelson, are also grandsons to radio and television icons, Ozzie and Harriet Nelson. The Nelson family is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the only family in history to have three successive generations of No. 1 hit makers.
